Since 1983 GISMA has specialised in the development, construction and production of underwater connectors. As an independant company managed by its owner, GISMA belongs to one of the worldwide market leaders in the industry.
The high-quality electrical and fibre-optical connectors are mainly used in the offshore industry, the ocean and marine technology.
The range of products covers more than 4000 different connectors in 18 series – and the development constantly continues. GISMA manufactures special products for the offshore industry which are designed for continuously increasing water depths which can easily be operated by ROVs. New systems for energy generation out of the ocean offer future markets for GISMA. With the completion of our new manufacturing facility in 2009, we reached a further milestone of our company history.

Thousands of GISMA connectors are used worldwide in numerous submarines, offshore and pump industry applications as well as in the research. Even special orders are carried out quickly and efficiently by GISMA’s own computer-aided design department, tooling and ultramodern computer controlled machines for production.
GISMA offers an extensive family of standard connectors with contact numbers from 1-265, working voltages up to 12 kV AC and current ratings up to 1000 amps for deep sea application down to 10000 metres. All types of optical fibres, single and multi-mode, can be assembled with GISMA connectors. Certificates of approval from well known test organisations, i. e. GL – German Lloyd and DNV – Det Norske Veritas are available.
