We exhibit:
OE2011 (6-8 September 2011 at Aberdeen
Exhibition & Conference Centre, Aberdeen, UK)
SPE Offshore Europe conference and exhibition attracts a global audience of engineers, technical specialists, industry leaders and experts to share ideas and debate the issues of the moment in the upstream industry.
It is a multi-faceted event that reflects the E&P community’s desire for continuous learning, showcasing the innovation, solutions and tools required to compete in an accelerating technology race in an increasingly complex business.
We are looking forward to meeting you at booth 5A44.

GISMA develops a 10/12kV wet mateable connector
GISMA has started the development of a high voltage wet mateable connector for renewable
marine energy sources. The new connector will reduce the cost of tidal and energy arrays by
cutting the cable costs to shore and simplifying device installation.
New wet mateable underwater connector
After having completed the development of GISMA's new SERIES 80 wet mateable 4-way fibre optic connector it is available now.
The smart and clever design in combination with robust mating mechanics makes the high performance connector suitable for several applications in water depths up to 6000 metres.
As known from our SERIES 80 electrical connectors three different versions are available (stab plate mating, mating by ROV, mating by diver).
These are the key features of the
new SERIES 80 fibre optic connector:
- Patented design
- 4 spring loaded and linear moving ferrules
- Easy and robust mating
- High precise contact alignment in the centre
- f/o contacts as “physical contact” connection
- Total attenuation <1,8dB per fibre line (including alle three
interfaces: wet matebale connection itself plus front/rearside) - 600bars pressure watertight
- Field mountable with rear side DIN/LSA ferrules
- Both sides pressure compensated
- 2 independent pressure balanced membranes on both sides
- Delivery assembled and tested
- Return loss >40dB SM / >30dB MM
- Designed for moulding and hose termination technique
